All My Restless Life To Live Blog Tour

All My Restless Life To Live by Dee DeTarsio

About The Book:
Life is a soap opera in All My Restless Life to Live, especially for Elle Miller, who writes for one. (Ellen dropped the “n” in her name in hopes of finding a better ending for herself.) When her laptop crashed, she borrowed her dead dad’s computer and got more than she bargained for. As Elle comes to terms with her father’s death, she’s busy unraveling mysterious communications from his computer. From dealing with her mom, who has decided to give Internet dating a try, to saving her career at I’d Rather Be Loved, with a storyline featuring a trip through Atlantis, to a trip to the Emmys, Elle also finds herself in the middle of a romance between a real doctor and a hunk who just plays one on TV. Friends, family, and clues from “the other side” all help Elle figure out the difference between living the good life and living a good life. Hint: The universe always gives us clues.

My Thoughts:
This is a great summer read! It is full of all the dirt you love in a chick-lit book! Romance, mystery, comedy! I loved it! It really does read like a soap opera, and all the characters are so great and witty!

About The Author:
Dee DeTarsio is a TV writer living in southern California. After growing up in Ennui, Ohio, and graduating from The Ohio State University she vowed never to be cold again (in a tantrum more worthy of Suellen than Scarlett) and ended up in Tucson, Arizona, producing the news for the CBS affiliate, oddly enough called KOLD-TV. She moved to San Diego where she worked in the SeaWorld entertainment department as a producer/writer. (Penguins are mean!) She then became a producer/writer for the NBC affiliate.

Drones Over The USA

Drones Over the USA - Who's Watching You by Low VA Rates Some are calling drones “lawless and destructive”, but others say a future with domestic drones is inevitable. The FAA estimates that there could be as many as 7,500 civilian drones in use within the next 5 years with unmanned flying drones ranging in size from as little as a small bird to as big as a large plane. With all this happening, it’s important to ask the right questions and think about what we should know. I’m also curious to hear what veterans have to say on the subject. The above infographic explores the use of drones in the USA.

If you want your child to learn Christian values and grow in their faith, don't leave them to explore books on their own. Reading is a personal adventure that everyone must learn to love through quiet hours of solitude with book in hand, but that doesn't mean you cannot reach out to your child using the books they love as a powerful communication tool. Book Selection Become an active part of your child's book selection process. Rather than turning them loose at the library to select whatever they want or leaving them with the books they check out from the school library, help them explore the type of books you want them to read. Look at the books they select on their own and point out reasons those selections may not fit your Christian values. You can browse the best Christian fiction books at FavoriteChristianBooks.com. Do this with your child so you can discuss why some selections are better suited to your reading needs and lifestyle than others. You may be surprised to see your child start making better selections when you are not standing next to them. Open Discussion Read the same books that your child is reading so you can have discussions about the values presented within those books. It is difficult to talk about a book that you have not read. Once you have both finished a book, start conversations about values you hope your child took away from the book. Books are valuable learning experiences, but Christian fiction can also become a way to pass free time in a productive manner. Explore books with your child and see how your relationship deepens.

Dreams Come True

I just heard about this awesome story. Luke Tavcar is a 12-year-old boy who has muscular dystrophy and is totally dependent on a wheelchair. In fact, he can only move his fingertips. But he wanted to get into mischief and do all kinds of cool things, like play Basketball and climb the stairs.

So, amateur photographer Matej Pelijan took his picture in a ton of poses, where he could do all that he dreamed! Check out these pics, inspiring.
