So I’m always looking for ways to save, whether it is time-saving make up tips or how to recreate the latest fashion without spending a small fortune. I thought I would share few of my time saving beauty tips with you, so I hope you find them helpful.

As with all aspects of motherhood and family life, one of the easiest ways to save time when it comes to your beauty regime is to be organized. A great tip for when you’re simply too shattered to wash your face at night is to make sure you always have face wipes on the bedside table. This way you really have got no excuse for not taking your makeup off before you go to sleep!

Combining beauty routines with household chores can be a really effective way of saving time whilst still looking after yourself. A good tip is to put a rich, moisturizing hand cream on before putting your rubber gloves on to tackle the washing up or other household job. This will help the moisturizer sink in while you’re getting things done.

To save time in the mornings, invest in beauty products that can perform several tasks in one. For example, a detangling spray or serum that also acts as a heat protector. This will ensure your hair is easy to comb through, so it is quicker to style, and is protected from hair dryers and hair straighteners.

When it comes to make up, find a good cream blusher that you can apply with your fingers; you can then use this on your lips, eyes and cheeks for an instant dewy and fresh look without messing around with lots of different products. You can perform a similar trick with lipstick warmed under a hair dryer for a few seconds!

During the day you probably want your hair up and out of the way, but for an evening look that doesn’t require hours of styling, simply turn your hair upside down when you blow dry it to easily create lots of body. Pin back sections with hair grips for a tousled look.

Fashion in the Summer

Fashion can be a hard thing to follow since it changes so often! By staying close to the norm and throwing in a few extra colors here and there, you’re sure to hit your mark. If you prefer not to be too adventurous with colors, adding accessories will definitely do the trick. Men’s fashion is considered fairly cheap, depending on where you choose to shop. During the summer, men’s fashion typically consists of khaki board shorts and brightly colored button down-collared shirts. Sandals go well to accommodate these types of outfits. Colors among men will generally range from blues, oranges, many shades of green, and yellow. Many men prefer not to wear board shorts, and in this case, a pair of regular khaki shorts would be just fine and perfectly acceptable.

Women typically love to wear summer dresses, tank tops, or spaghetti straps due to the hot temperatures. Floral-type designs are excellent for women’s summer wear. Flip flops will forever remain in style with summer dresses. Women can also wear tank tops with any style of shorts as well. Children typically wear tank tops or sleeveless tops with cute shorts and flip flops. Little boys can wear short sleeved Polo-type shirts. Colors that boys should consider wearing include bright green or light blue. Girls can stick with pink and yellow of varying shades and designs. Flip flops are acceptable for girls and boys and can be found in many styles, colors, and sizes, including baby wear.

Summer wear is intended to be fashionable, yet comfortable. There are many options for styles and colors, but they are all loose-fitting and are typically made of light materials. The key to summer dressing is to be comfortable and fashionable at the same time. If you feel like you may be over-dressed, then you probably are. Keep it casual! Hair Care for Summer

Long sunny days are almost here again. While sun beams can do wonders to lift your spirits, they can also be damaging to your hair. Here are a few ways to keep your hair looking healthy and shiny throughout the summer and into the winter months.

1. Use a heat protectant. You can by heat protectants in most drugstores. You simply just spritz it on after your shower and go. Make sure you use it if you are going to blow dry or use any other heating tool on your hair.

2. Use hot tools rarely. Try to avoid putting anymore heat on your hair than is necessary. Let your hair air dry and keep styling to a minimum. Check out videos for how to curl your hair online. There are many ways to do it including tutorials using things like socks and headbands.

3. Don’t shampoo every day. Shampooing strips the hair of its natural oils and dries it out. Try to shampoo only every other day and use a dry shampoo when you need to. If you are covering up greasy roots, simply sprinkle on some baby powder and brush through the ends.

4. Wear a hat or a scarf. One of the simplest ways to protect your hair from the sun is to cover it up. Keep your hair safe and your outfits stylish and play with different hats. Hats can also come in handy for bad hair days.

5. Condition regularly. Each time you wash your hair, be sure to follow it up with a good conditioner. This will help your hair retain essential moisture. Use a leave-in conditioner with an SPF when you plan to be out in the sun a lot.

6. Get your hair wet before entering the pool or the ocean. Salt and chlorine are damaging to hair so protect it by giving it a good soak before you enter harmful waters. Hair can only absorb so much water so by getting it soaking wet before, it won’t soak in any of the chemicals or salt.

7. Use a clarifying shampoo after swimming. This will help to get all of the chlorine and salt out of your hair, preventing further damage.

8. Rinse your hair with cold water. Finish off your shower with a blast of cold water. It will close the cuticle of your hair and leave it shiny and soft.

The Colors Of Spring & Summer 2012

With a new season comes new fashion colors. There are pastels, bold, fresh and natural colors coming in fashion. The big color is Tangerine Tango: A merry-making orange color. Lively and warm. This color will be seen in both clothes and makeup. Solar Power: Yellow! I love it! I absolutely love yellow! Bellflower: A purple tint. Cabaret: A striking color. And a perfect lip gloss color, or for your toesies. Soda Lite Blue: A classic marine color that represents peace and order. This blue tint is a perfect match with almost any of the other Pantone colors for this spring/summer. Cockatoo: A separate blue/green color. Margarita: Is an exciting fresh yellow/green color. Sweet Lilac: A sweet pink color. Driftwood: A blend of natural beige and gray. Starfish: A neutral but warm summery hue, like Soda Lite Blue, fits all the other colors in the top ten this season.
