ButterFeet For #MothersDay2016

This Mother’s Day help Mom extend the life of her pedicures! Between pedis, feet get scratchy and rough. But with the new ButterFeet Shower Foot Spa – the world’s first hands-free motorized shower foot exfoliator - Mom can always have buttery smooth feet (and extra pampering in the shower to boot!).
Here's how it works: As you shower, your feet are gently massaged without the straining or bending required of handheld tools. Simply touch each foot to the rotating device on the tub or shower floor. The exfoliator's surface has an abrasive diamond texture to break down hard calluses and dead skin on the soles. The spinning edge has a finer grit like a pumice stone for gently treating the sides of the foot. With each use her feet will feel revitalized, soft, and smooth as butter! An extra benefit: no mess - the dead skin simply washes down the drain. The ButterFeet Shower Foot Spa has a water-resistant construction and non-slip base for use in the shower or out, and a powerful, high speed motor. The power button is easily operated with a toe.

The Joy Of Less #Giveaway - 3 Winners!

About The Book:
In the Age of Disposables - fashion, phones, glasses, and even friends! - some people are finding joy by rediscovering the simple life. They’re cleaning house, both literally and figuratively, and finding themselves better for it. By getting rid of excess “stuff” and trimming down their over-filled schedules, they feel happier and more fulfilled than ever before. It’s really true that little can go a long way. With Chicken Soup for the Soul: The Joy of Less, spring cleaning takes on a whole new meaning. You’ll read stories about people who found happiness in an unlikely way: by saying no. No to buying more stuff, no to taking on additional time-filling commitments, and no to trying to please everyone all of the time. In this book you’ll also meet people who have found contentment in simplicity by spending time with their family during “staycations.” You’ll also read about people who cut out some of the everyday stressors in life by simply “unplugging” by turning off their smartphones and staying away from the Internet for a day. It’s amazing what a little break can do. You’ll even meet people who lost almost everything, but found happiness rediscovering who they really are and turning catastrophe into opportunity. When forced to simplify because the going gets tough, the tough get creative and find ways to flourish. Whether it’s cleaning out your closets and holding a yard sale or taking a stand for your well-being by keeping time to yourself, there are a hundred different ways to find joy in less.

My Thoughts:
This book is great. I needed this in my life, to help me go simple, especially with current things going on with me and some relationships, etc. A good book with great ideas!

About The Authors:
Amy Newmark is publisher, editor-in-chief and coauthor of the Chicken Soup for the Soul book series. Brooke Burke-Charvet is a host, actress, television personality, fashion designer, and entrepreneur. Tomorrow is #RedboxPayItForward Day

A single day of the year set to inspire random acts of kindness among strangers that generates a ripple effect from one person to the next, and one community to the next, April 28th marks International Pay It Forward Day. Now in its ninth year, previous PIFD acts of kindness include:
• Food drives
• Book donations
• Skills-based volunteering
• Buying a family’s meal
• Donating money to a nonprofit.

From buying a cup of coffee to planning a charity event, committing to a single act of kindness can be as simple or as involved as you’d like. While the third Thursday in April is the official day of recognition, selfless giving can happen anytime, anywhere. Motivated by its customers who have embraced Pay It Forward when they gift movie nights or treats to fellow movie-renters, Redbox is giving back to its customers by randomly passing out bags of Jolly Time Pop Corn to enrich viewers’ movie-watching experiences.
Dubbed #RedboxPayItForward, consumers are asked to post on social media and share their stories of paying it forward. For 2016’s international PIFD, the Pay It Forward Foundation aims to inspire more than 10 million acts of kindness around the world. In 2015, people from 75 countries participated in PIFD with individuals working on proclamations in 42 states and 48 cities. For more information on PFID, visit

Healthier Eating Is In The "Can" #Infographic

Question: Do families who eat canned veggies get more nutrients than those who don't?

Answer: According to the 2016 "Canned Vegetable Nutrients Study" - a dietary analysis of 24,000 people conducted by the Canned Food Alliance, with analysis by Dr. Marjorie Freedman (of San Jose State University) -  the answer is a resounding "yes."

Del Monte's infographic explains this new data::
* 94% of American adults are not eating enough fruits and vegetables
* Adults who eat canned fruits and vegetables eat 19% more fruit and 17% more veggies than those who don't
* Adults who eat canned fruits and vegetables consume 7% more dietary fiber and 5% more potassium than those who don't
* Canned fruits and vegetables include low-sodium options and non-GMO foods like Del Monte Blue Lake Cut Green Beans.

These nutritional benefits affect our kids, too:
* 9 in 10 kids don't eat enough vegetables and 6 in 10 kids don't eat enough fruit
* Kids who eat canned fruits and vegetables eat 14% more fruit and 22% more veggies than those who don't
* Kids who eat canned fruits and vegetables consumed more protein, fiber, vitamin A, calcium, and potassium (but less fat)

Experts believe that canned food has this surprising effect not only because canned vegetables carry nearly identical nutrients to their fresh-cooked counterparts, but they are also an easier way to get recommended daily servings of fruits and veggies - which can lower risk of heart disease, stroke, and certain cancers. Because most Del Monte fruits and vegetables often go from farm to can within one day, before arriving in grocery stores, they lock in key nutrients – allowing us to enjoy the benefits of their favorite veggies, even when not in season.

Meternity #ItsRainingBooks

BookSparks is putting a spring in your step for this season’s April Showers Blog Tour! Join me in reading, reviewing, and sharing five handpicked, buzz-worthy books! The Fourth book is Meternity by Meghann Foye.

About The Book:
Like everyone in New York, media editor Liz Buckley runs on cupcakes, caffeine, and cocktails. But at thirty-one, she’s plateaued at Paddy Cakes, a glossy baby magazine that flogs thousand-dollar strollers to entitled, hyper-competitive spawn-havers. Liz has spent years working a gazillion hours a week picking up the slack for coworkers with kids, and she’s tired of it. So one day when her bosses mistake her stress-related nausea for morning sickness - boom! Liz is promoted to the mommy track. She decides to run with it and plans to use her paid time off to figure out her life: work, love, and otherwise. It’ll be her “meternity” leave. By day, Liz rocks a foam-rubber belly under fab maternity outfits. By night, she dumps the bump for karaoke nights and boozy dinners out. But how long can she keep up her charade…and hide it from the guy who might just be The One? As her “due date” approaches, Liz is exhausted - and exhilarated - by the ruse, the guilt, and the feelings brought on by a totally fictional belly-tenant…about happiness, success, family, and the nature of love.

My Thoughts:
This is a hilariously fun read! I laughed out loud on several occasions. A fun fast read, it was perfect for a spring fever read!
