#PaperTownsMemories Scrapbooking Party With #PaperTownsInsiders

I had a Paper Towns of Memories scrapbooking party this weekend with some of my gal pals. I received a super cool scrapbooking kit from Twentieth Century Fox which included: A scrapbook, lots of paper and card stock, photo paper to print pics on, glitter glue, permanent tape runners, a pack of sharpies, scissors, and many assorted fun stickers.
In the movie, Quentin's love Margo suddenly disappears - leaving behind cryptic clues for Quentin to decipher. The search leads Quentin and his friends on an exhilarating adventure!

Me and My Gal Pals Had A #SpiesNightIn

My mission over this Labor Day weekend was to become Susan Cooper herself with her cat t-shirt and gray wig and invite four of my friends to attend and dress in their own spy gear as a fun alias! Each guest received a few survival items to keep in a handbag for on-the-go missions - just like Susan Cooper receives for her missions! In the survival kits they each got a special flashlight and phone charger for emergencies and a five-in-one whistle perfect for any jam a wannabe spy might find herself in! We also received snack packs to watch the movie with!
My party kit, thanks to Twentieth Century Fox included:
1 Digital HD Code to watch Spy
1 Susan Cooper cat t-shirt for myself
1 Gray Wig for myself
1 Spy tablecloth
5 Red Cross Flashlight + Smart Phone Charger
5 Survival Whistles
5 Secret Agent Snacks - popcorn, sour patch kids, m&ms, and candy bars
Check out the Digital HD release of Spy on Amazon and get your Spy on!

Jingle All The Way 2 Movie Night Party With #JingleInsiders

Larry's daughter wants only one thing for Christmas - a talking bear. His daughter's step-dad intends to make sure that Larry can't get one. That is the premise for the movie Jingle All The Way 2, with Larry The Cable Guy. It is a great funny family movie, and the kiddos we had over the weekend loved it!
I was fortunate enough to be able to hold a movie viewing party for this movie, and got some fun goodies to share with the kiddos! We got some fun holiday themed paper goods (plates and napkins for the nummy snacks), an ornament decorating kit that the kiddos loved. They each got to do 2 ornaments, and they all exchanged them. So cute! Also, a star cookie cutter, and a hot chocolate set which included the mug, spoon, and some deliscious peppermint hot cocoa! It was a hit all around, and really a fun way to kick off the holiday season. Here are some pics. Do you see my Grinch Hubby? This is his face when dealing with 6 kids under the age of 8. Bahahaha.

#DragonsInsiders HTTYD2 #DragonsMovieNight

We have been in on all the hype with all the How To Train Your Dragon hoopla! We loved the first movie, and adored the second movie! And Callan got to have a movie night screening party for HTTYD2! He loved it. We actually ended up having a sleepover with a few of his buddies! We had swag bags with popcorn, cookies, fruit snacks, Goldfish, juice boxes, themed plates, napkins, cups, and stickers, and coloring pages! The kids loved it!
Did you know that How to Train Your Dragon is a series of eleven children's books written by British author Cressida Cowell? I knew nothing of the books until the movies came out. The books are set in a fictional Viking world and focus on the experiences of Hiccup and his pals as they train dragons as pets. The first book was published in 2003 and the latest in 2014. The books have subsequently been made into a franchise consisting of two feature films of the same name, several short stories, and an animated television series created by DreamWorks Animation. I don't know if they are going to make more movies in this series, but if they do, we are on board!

A Toast to French Toast #cascadeshiningreviews - Cascade Platinum Party 2 #Giveaway

Thanks to Cascade Platinum and Double Duty Divas I am able to host two awesome cooking parties! My party guests witness first-hand the powerful cleaning ability of Cascade Platinum. Each guest will get to take home a full size Cascade Platinum and Cascade Platinum Rinse Aid as a thank you for coming, plus yummy food and good company! Check out my first party HERE.

For the second party I made French Toast (courtesy of The Food Network and Alton Brown) and Mimosas.
French Toast Ingredients:
•1 cup half-and-half
•3 large eggs
•2 tablespoons honey, warmed in microwave for 20 seconds
•1/4 teaspoon salt
•8 (1/2-inch) slices day-old or stale country loaf, brioche or challah bread
•4 tablespoons butter

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. In a medium size mixing bowl, whisk together the half-and-half, eggs, honey and salt. When ready to cook, pour custard mixture into a pie pan. Dip bread into mixture, allowing it to soak for 30 seconds on each side. Then remove to a cooling rack that is sitting in a sheet pan, and allow to sit for 1 to 2 minutes. Over medium-low heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a 10-inch nonstick saute pan. Place 2 slices of bread at a time into the pan and cook until golden brown, approximately 2 to 3 minutes per side. Remove from pan and place on rack in oven for 5 minutes. Repeat with all 8 slices. Serve immediately with maple syrup, whipped cream or fruit

Mimosa Ingredients:
•Champagne
•Orange juice

Make them by mixing equal parts champagne and orange juice. Simple and easy!

More About Cascade
In 1953, Cascade entered the automatic dishwashing market with claims of “spotless dishes” to the four percent of households with dishwashers. The fast-moving world of household innovations was just in its beginning stages, and Cascade stayed at the forefront for the next 50 years by developing a range of automatic dishwashing products perfect for a variety of families, needs, and lifestyles. A Taste of Comfort Foods #cascadeshiningreviews - Cascade Platinum Party 1 #Giveaway

Thanks to Cascade Platinum and Double Duty Divas I am able to host two awesome cooking parties! Cooking, eating, having fun and letting my party guests witness first-hand the powerful cleaning ability of Cascade Platinum. Each guest will get to take home a full size Cascade Platinum and Cascade Platinum Rinse Aid as a thank you for coming, plus yummy food and good company!
Here are some great tips shared by Cascade Platinum:
Skip the pre-wash. It’s true! This is a key step for success in the dishwashing process, and just about everyone gets it wrong! Here’s why you need to skip the pre-wash: Cascade Platinum works best when food soil is left on dishes because its special enzymes latch onto that food, breaking it down so it can wash away. If there’s no food soil, there’s nothing for the enzymes to attach to and your detergent isn’t working its hardest for you.

In lieu of any pre-washing, simply toss the large bits of food into the trash or garbage disposal and then stop there. No need to run anything under the water. Just load into the dishwasher. Don’t worry about food left on the dishes damaging your machine or pipes. Few people know that there is a garbage disposal built into the bottom of almost all dishwashers – but there is! That disposal works exactly like the disposal in your sink.

Follow these tips for loading your dishwasher with success:
  • Stack your dishes high and low but please be sure that bulky items DO NOT block the sprayer.
  • Place tall dishes and pans in the back of the bottom rack so they DO NOT block the detergent chamber.
  • Place glasses and other fragile items in the top rack. This helps keep them from the powerful sprayer under the bottom rack.
  • Set glasses between tines on the rack NOT over them as wet contact points can cause spots.
  • Thread any long utensils through coffee-mug handles to help keep them secure in the wash.
  • Check to ensure that there aren’t any stray utensils that will block the nozzle or sprayer.
  • And a special call out for any big dishes: load them on the bottom rack, face down so the water is sure to reach all the nooks and crannies.
Try Cascade Platinum for yourselves, and post your authentic reviews at www.cascadeclean.com/us/cascade/review using #cascadeshiningreviews for a chance to win a prize pack. Also, see my giveaway below! Good luck!
For my first party I made yummy Mac n’ Cheese (courtesy of The Pioneer Woman), and some delicious brownies!

Ingredients:
4 cups Dried Macaroni
1 whole Egg Beaten
1/4 cup (1/2 Stick Or 4 Tablespoons) Butter
1/4 cup All-purpose Flour
2-1/2 cups Whole Milk
2 teaspoons (heaping) Dry Mustard
1 pound Cheese, Grated
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/2 teaspoon Seasoned Salt
1/2 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
Optional Spices: Cayenne Pepper, Paprika, Thyme

Directions:
Cook macaroni until very firm. Macaroni should be too firm to eat right out of the pot. Drain. In a small bowl, beat egg. In a large pot, melt butter and sprinkle in flour. Whisk together over medium-low heat. Cook mixture for five minutes, whisking constantly. Don’t let it burn. Pour in milk, add mustard, and whisk until smooth. Cook for five minutes until very thick. Reduce heat to low. Take 1/4 cup of the sauce and slowly pour it into beaten egg, whisking constantly to avoid cooking eggs. Whisk together till smooth. Pour egg mixture into sauce, whisking constantly. Stir until smooth. Add in cheese and stir to melt. Add salt and pepper. Taste sauce and add more salt and seasoned salt as needed! Pour in drained, cooked macaroni and stir to combine. Serve immediately (very creamy).

Yum yum yum! Plus the awesome brownies. We ate good! One of my lucky readers will win a Party Pack, which includes:
Cascade Platinum
Cascade Platinum Rinse Aid
A Whisk
Spatula
Cheese grater
Oven mitts
GOOD LUCK! Check it all out at Cascade on Twitter, as well as Cascade on Facebook
