LivelyRoot #Holiday2021

Last year for New Year's, we got some new plants, because if you remember, I was very much about - New Year, New Me, renewal, etc. Still am. And a plane to my symbolized that. We got some lovely Bromeliads from LivelyRoot. It was great for Callan as well because he helped me take care of them. I think a plant is a lovely gift idea at the holidays. And the folks at LivelyRoot agree. They believe everyone deserves a plant! Regardless of your plant knowledge, they can be your source of information, connection, and inspiration as you develop your love of horticulture. They only sell eco-friendly products and their plants are grown from seedlings and shipped fresh from their nursery to your door.
Unfortunately our Bromeliads did not make the cross country move with us from Minnesota to Florida, so I was super excited to be able to get a new plant. This time a super cool Snake Plant to begin with! The leading commercial variety of Sansevieria, known and grown for the hemp-like fiber in the leaves. It's an interesting and attractive plant that is also durable for a wide range of conditions. It's an easy plant to care for and makes for a great addition to your personal green space. Species of the Sansevieria genus are recommended for air purification – particularly within the home and office. Fun fact: Under perfect conditions, a snake plant may produce a bloom. Flowers are born in large clusters and are generally white with a greenish tinge. They emit a sweet floral fragrance that can fill a room. They won't bloom with any regularity, as most bud just once every several years.

Lively Root For Renewal In The #NewYear2021

The plants at Lively Root are lovingly farm-grown, hand-picked, and sustainably shipped from a small batch nursery in San Diego, California. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned pro, Lively Root offers the quality, health, simplicity, and care you need.
We got a Bromeliad plant, which is just gorgeous. Guzmania Bromeliads add significant intrigue, color and beauty to your Green Space. They have long, slender evergreen leaves that are topped by a single brilliant inflorescence of tongue-like petals. The bloom will be deep red, maroon, orange, pink, or yellow, or some combination thereof. Bromeliad flowers can last 3 to 6 months, but they typically flower just once. Fun Fact: The Guzmania genus is named after Anastasio Guzman, a Spanish pharmacist and naturalist who died in 1807. The roots are grown in the USA but the plant is native to South America.

We chose this plant because it is pet friendly and we have the dog and two crazy cats. I love love love the color of this plant. It adds such a pop to the house. And a house plant just adds something to the atmosphere, too. And during this time, when we are all spending more time at home, it helps to make us feel better. And naturally plants absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen, so that is a healthy benefit. Plus, the hobby of caring for a plant is good for our wellbeing. And Lively Root has a lot of options to choose from. And my beautiful plant came carefully packaged and arrived safely for me to put right in the perfect spot in it's new home!

Check it all out at Lively Root on Facebook, as well as Lively Root on Instagram.
