Genius Litter is an innovative new lightweight color-changing litter with a health indicator that allows you to find out if your cat has issues early on. Because our cats are part of the family and we want them healthy, just like any other member of our family. With the best odor control and less waste for the environment, each bag of Genius Litter sold feeds 10 shelter cats, in hopes of finding them a new home. The creator, Ramon van Meer's "aha" moment for Genius Litter came to him when his cat, Quinsel, suddenly got sick with a UTI. Early detection would have avoided many problems and he began searching for a solution to help pet owners detect health issues earlier on.
Genius Litter is able to detect complications in the urine, hence the color-changing aspect. Ramon says, “I had heard about dog pee pads that can detect health issues, so I started researching about making the same thing in a cat litter form. I am on a mission to help pets live a longer, happier life and to help feed every cat in shelters.”
Ramon has always fostered or adopted pets from a young age and was raised to adopt from shelters, since approximately 6.3 million companion animals enter U.S. animal shelters nationwide every year and 920,000 shelter animals are euthanized yearly.
This is a great idea! We did not find any health issues with our cats while using this, which is a good thing. But if there had been something amiss, we would have been alerted!
