We are thinking Spring here, because it is coming! Slowly but surely our weather is warming up! And we like to bake all year round in our house, even in the Spring, so it was fun to get some Spring themed cookie molds from Artesao cookie molds. Handcrafted Artesão silicone cookie molds breathe new life and inspiration into the art of cookie molding with eclectic designs and user-friendly materials that give you the ability to create cookies that really wow!
The unique designs of these flexible cookie molds add a personal touch to your baking. Silicone rubber makes them user-friendly and fun!
We used the baking mix from Artesao, because I wanted to the cookies to be perfect with these molds. Formulated to retain the details of your cookie mold, Artesão Cookie Mix creates a yummy sugar/butter cookie dough with ease. You just add butter and water.
One 23 oz bag of Artesão Cookie Mix produces approximately 40 minis, 17 small, 7 medium, or 5 large cookies. We got the Woolly Lamb Cookie Mold, a Mustang Cookie Mold (for Callan of course), an Owl Cookie Mold, the Flower Collage Cookie Mold, and the Birdhouse Cookie Mold.
I was a bit nervous I would screw it all up, so I watched the instructional video on the website and found it helpful and then realized how easy it really was to do. After preparing the baking mix, Callan and I were ready to roll! We had a lot of fun, and we were so excited to see the cookies come to life from the molds! The squeals of excitement (from me) filled the kitchen. Callan totally dug the mustang. He was thrilled. He kept asking if Susan (the creator of the molds) could make an Xbox controller cookie mold, or a mold of our dog, Glory, or a mold of a DeLorean, or a mold of an Organ Donation Ribbon. This went on and on. And I kept saying, yes I bet she could, as she makes custom molds (check it out here). We had a lot of fun!
