Matt Billings - Farmer, Father and Founder AYO Yogurt - has spent his life growing up on his farm in California’s sun-soaked San Joaquin Valley. Matt Billings brings a passion for innovation, healthy living, and sustainability to his role as founder of AYO Almond Yogurt and passes down his own experience to his own children.
The legacy of the farm started back in 1913. As a boy, Billing’s favorite memories included driving around in a pickup with his Dad and grandfather exploring the fields. The generations taught him that is takes a lifetime to build good reputation and one bad mistake can take that away. Living your life well, work hard, be curious, be honest, live your life with integrity, and treat everyone with respect.
Matt has 2 sons, 17 and 15, and a 12 year old daughter. The greatest gift Matt can hand down are the lessons, morals and expertise his father gave to him. Matt’s middle son is working on the farm in the summer.
Growing up in AG has given him a tremendous appreciation of nature, the seasonal rhythm of life, healthy nutritious food and lifelong friendships. The ability to expand on the almond fields with new technology is such a gift, as he knows his sons have the ability to grow with the times as well.
