Introducing a cool, grassroots-in-every-way campaign from Angie's BoomChickaPop - just in time for spring planting. "Grow Some Boom" is an effort to educate people on where their food comes from, and grow a good-for-you snack from the ground up...in this case, popcorn!
Angie's is giving out free packets (while supplies last) of untreated, non-GMO popcorn seeds for people to grow in their home gardens. Come fall harvest, they'll have a fun snack to make in their own kitchen.
Folks can pick up seeds at their local retailer, or order them online at www.growsomeboom.com. They'll also get tips and tricks for healthy growing, and can follow along on the Grow Some Boom blog.
It's all about sharing the growing experience!
We got to try the popcorn, as well as recieved some seed packets. We don't have room to grow corn in our garden, but we do in Grandma's garden, so she is going to plant them for us, and let us help tend to it! So much fun! And what a great idea. I would have never thought of growing our own popcorn, essentially! Fun! And by the way, the popcorn is amazing! So yummy!
