PixieBar is a monthly recipe box with pre-measured spices and non-perishable ingredients delivered to your door.
I got the Pad Thai Box! PixieBar pays homage to Pad Thai - among the most famous dishes of Thailand - by devoting their inaugural recipe box to the noodle dish.
Pad means to stir-fry and Thai refers to Thailand. Pad Thai was popularized in the 1930s and 1940s by the Prime Minister as part of his campaign to promote culture, and is one of the most ordered at Thai restaurants worldwide.
For some of you who have not tried Pad Thai, it is stir fried noodles usually served with shrimp. The prep work is minimal and all the ingredients get quickly sauteed until they’re just cooked through.
With its emphasis on fresh flavors and its quick stir-fry method of cooking, Pad Thai has all the key qualities of a quick and delicious weeknight meal. A very well balanced dish, the tamarind paste/juice lends to the richness, the fish sauce gives a sweet intensity, and those flavor profiles are complemented with palm sugar.
What’s included in the recipe box are:
Pad Thai Recipe Card,
Chilli Flakes (optional),
Fish Sauce,
Tamarind Paste,
Palm Sugar
Noodles.
Recommended Proteins:
Chicken, Shrimp, or Tofu. We tried it with chicken, and it was really yummy!
