A Garden Of Love

A Garden Of Love by Thomas B. Clarke

About The Book:
A delightful and compelling book, written with love using beautiful prose, flower photographs, and Scriptures. Allows our senses to experience softness, gentleness, peace, and intimacy of Christian love. Expresses our deeper feelings by allowing the love of our Lord to flow over us - reveals God's love and elicits a heartfelt response. A great gift or coffee table book by the caretaker of a prayer garden.

My Thoughts:
I think this is a lovely book! The photographs are astonishing and the scripture that goes along with the photos is perfect. I would be proud to give this as a gift book, and to have it sit on my coffee table, and share with others. The perfect book to look through on a rainy day when you may need to be reminded what a glorious and beautiful world we live in.

About The Author:
I am an author/publisher of Christian books, the caretaker of the Gethsemane Prayer Garden in Syracuse, NY, and a computer software developer. Both writing and gardening are part-time jobs for me, but they are my heart-felt passion: to help others see the Bible and experience Jesus in a new and fresh way. My first book, "Joshua's Spiritual Warfare", uses the Book of Joshua to reveal its literary style called the "chiastic structure." Few people have been exposed to this writing technique that is used throughout the Bible; it has been my pleasure to author and publish one of the few books on the use of chiasms. As I wrote that book, I was consistently thrilled at the added meaning that chiasms unveiled. My second book is a topical study of one-hundred topics from the Book of Proverbs. Using my God-given talents as a software developer, I was able to develop a more organized approach to the Biblical text. By using just verses from the Bible, God's full counsel on any of these one-hundred topics is revealed. My most recent book, "A Garden of Love", is distinctly different from my first two books. In preparing this book, I felt the Lord temporarily stepping me away from Biblical analysis and into the heart of love. The Holy Spirit was really upon me as I wrote this flowing poetic-like prose about both beautiful flowers and Scriptures. The result is an attempt to show the essence of Christian love by looking at the loveliness in flowers. Using colorful photographs, the beauty that God created in flowers is tied into New Testament verses about love with a focus on loving our Lord and one another. Therefore, this has become my life verse: "What is important is faith expressing itself in love." (Galatians 5:6) My wife is Nancy, and I have two adult daughters, Laurel and Becky. I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior in 1989 at a Billy Graham Crusade.
