Hope Grew Round Me

Hope Grew Round Me by Barb Greenberg

About The Book:
The middle of the night phone call...The flight half way around the world...The vigil by a daughter's hospital bed...as her child heals, a mother discovers pieces of herself that are broken and damaged. And while mother and daughter take different journeys, both lives are repaired. This is one woman's journey from crisis to transformation. Though it is a personal account, the themes of courage and healing and of love are universal. We each have our own journey to take and every one is unique in its details. By sharing her story, Barb hopes to inspire and encourage others to honor every step.

My Thoughts:
This is a personal memoir of one mother's vigil to help heal her daughter after a horrific accident, but in the long-run, the mother learns volumes about herself, and heals herself as well. The author is one strong woman, to stay by her daughter's side, and help the rest of her family with their emotions through this experience, all the while, determined to discover who she herself really is. This story is real and passionate and honest.
