Living in a studio in New York City, Tiffany and her husband had their first son. To prepare for the baby, Tiffany picked out five books – classics, like Goodnight Moon and The Very Hungry Caterpillar – and remembered thinking, “Five books for a newborn? That’s a lot!” However, the couple started reading the books to their little one every day – reading and re-reading them. After while, they realized, we need some more books! With a desire to grow their library, they quickly discovered it was harder than they thought. There weren’t many bookstores in an easy, walking distance and a trip to the bookstore with a baby wasn’t exactly ideal, so they turned to online sources. Eventually she realized, there had to be a better way to build her son’s library without this much hassle, yet still be sure to get great quality books. Teaming up with her sisters-in-law Jane and Rebecca, the three of them set out to build Bookroo to meet that exact need: to make it easy for parents and magical for kids to fall in love with reading, and consistently grow their home library!
