Introducing an all-new line called Ridges by Popchips, which roll out to retailers nationwide in June in four delicious flavors: salted, tangy barbecue, cheddar & sour cream, and chili cheese. Ridges offer a big bold crunch that you would expect from a deep fried chip, but still have 72% less fat and 55% less calories than the leading ridged chip brand.
Popchips found that 7 out of 10 better-for-you shoppers were seeking more crunch in their snacking, and Ridges were specifically created to deliver. The snack company, which pioneered the popping process for potatoes, spent several years experimenting with its innovative process of combining heat and pressure to create and extraordinarily crunchy and bold tasting ridged chip. In addition to the the launch of Ridges, Popchips is also rolling out entirely new packaging for the proud, prominently pronouncing flavor front and center.
Ridges packaging will be black, a stark contrast to original Popchips which will now feature off-white packaging, but both will have bright pops of color and graphic imagery. Like other Popchips, Ridges are gluten-free, kosher, contain no artificial preservatives, no synthetic colors, no cholesterol and zero grams of trans fat.
