The American Bible Challenge Daily Reader *Giveaway*

The American Bible Challenge Daily Reader by Troy Schmidt

About The Book:
A fun and challenging way to dig into the Bible. In fall 2012, a new show premiered on the Game Show Network that quickly surprised Hollywood. Hosted by Jeff Foxworthy, The American Bible Challenge built up an audience of 2.3 million viewers in just nine weeks, making it the highest-rated show ever in GSN history. By taking on unique questions spanning all of Scripture, teams excitedly won money, not for themselves, but for a favorite charity. The interest has grown so fast in recent months, a second season hit the airwaves in March 2013. Now, the consulting producer for the show, Troy Schmidt, with a foreword written by host Jeff Foxworthy, has released a daily reader based on The American Bible Challenge designed to take us deeper into the questions from the show and the life applications that they inspire. Using many of the questions from the first season as a guide, each day features an inspiring lesson along with five challenging Bible questions to take you deeper into Scripture. The book guides the reader through nine weeks of study and encouragement - the same length of time as a season of The American Bible Challenge - with over three hundred questions to test your Bible knowledge. And don’t worry, all the answers are in the back. The American Bible Challenge Daily Reader includes questions to deepen your knowledge and to change your life. Are you ready to jump in and take the challenge?

My Thoughts:
I love this book! If some of you follow me, you may know that recently I am trying to understand my faith and the Bible better, and this book helps tremendously. It is a fun daily read, and I like challenging myself to see if I get the answers correct! Most times I do! This is a great read for fun, but also for personal growth!

About The Author:
Ever since seventh grade I wanted to publish a book. I asked my teacher to save my writings from class because I felt they would be in a book someday. While those seventh grade musings will never see the light of day, the dream did come true. I started writing for animation, with credits for such TV shows as "Dennis the Menace," "Heathcliff" and "Flintstone Kids." I found my way to Orlando and wrote three seasons on "The Mickey Mouse Club" the show that launched the careers of Justin Timberlake, Ryan Gosling, Brittany Spears and Christina Aguilera. One of the highlights of my career was writing the video series of "Hermie & Friends," not only because I got to work with Max Lucado, an author whose writing style I connected with, but because I was able to write for Tim Conway and Don Knotts. I have enjoyed my relationship with the online Bible GLO where I produced a documentary on the life of Jesus called "In His Shoes." What a thrill to walk in the paths of Jesus Christ and share thoughts about his life with Max Lucado and Norman Geisler. GSN and the producers of "The American Bible Challenge" contacted me and asked me to help them put together a game show about the Bible. I joined them in Los Angeles and have worked with an amazing team through the pilot and two seasons.
