Signed, Sealed, Delivered

The new original series "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" is a wonderful combination of romance, comedy and drama that follows the lives of four postal workers who transform themselves into a team of detectives to track down intended recipients of undeliverable mail. Their missions take them out of the office where redirected letters and packages can save lives, solve crimes, reunite old loves and change futures by arriving late but somehow always on time.

The team includes charming Oliver O’Toole (Eric Mabius), the group's leader, who is a man of faith who prayerfully approaches his work with the goal of making a difference in people's lives; new team member, Shane McInerney (Kristin Booth), a technophile who brings 21st century sensibility to the group; free-spirited, “girl next door” Rita Haywith (Crystal Lowe) who has a photographic memory; and lovable Norman Dorman (Geoff Gustafson), a master in conventional research methods. The show airs Sundays 8/7c on Hallmark.

Starring Eric Mabius, Kristin Booth, Crystal Lowe & Geoff Gustafson with iconic guest stars including Valerie Harper, Della Reese, Carol Burnett & Marilu Henner, and many more to be announced soon! I love Hallmark movies and shows, and this show does not disappoint! You can watch new episodes on Sundays, and catch up at the Hallmark Signed, Sealed, Delivered page online!

Fargo The TV Series

Did anyone catch the show Fargo on Tuesday night on FX? Well, as some of you may know, the show is based in Bemidji, Minnesota. I live in a suburb of Bemidji. And of course I have my thoughts about the show. So, if you have not seen it, but intend to - warning: spoilers ahead!

The show says it is a true story, but is it? I don't really know. I do know that the show is about a small town in Minnesota called Bemidji. Yes, Bemidji is in Minnesota, but it is by no means a small town. Bemidji had a population of 13,500 last census. Small, maybe. But take the town I live in for instance...we have a population of 700. Also, this show was not even filmed in Bemidji. Or even the US. Most of it was filmed in Canada. Which, yes, I live 45 minutes from the Canadian border so it might as well be, right?

Another thing that sort of irks me...why is the show based on a Minnesota town but called Fargo? Fargo is in North Dakota.

Yes, Minnesota has an accent. I think every state has some inflection. And yes, the Midwest sounds different from the South or the East Coast. But we do not sound as dumb as they make it in the show. We don't say yeah like "Yah", and we really do not say You Betcha a lot. I will admit to saying "You Know?" a lot though.

I love Billy Bob Thorton. Have always been a fan. But he looks weird with his bangs and his hair cut like that. Hee hee.

Not to be racist, or whatever.....but the show needs more Natives in it if it is going to be about this area of Minnesota. We have the Red Lake Nation and the Leech Lake Band Of Ojibwe up here, and Natives are very prevalent.

What is with the jingle noise in the background every so often? Sounds like Jingle Bells.

The police in Bemidji (or Minnesota) are not as dumb as they portray in the show. And they so do not dress that goofy! Not even in -10 degree winters.

They mentioned Camp Ripley! Shout out to the Minnesota Armed Forces!! Woot woot.

There is no Lucky Penny in Bemidji. There is no strip club in Bemidji in fact. There is a strip joint in Funkley though, which is about 30 miles from Bemidji. Though it is not strictly a strip place. They have dancers maybe once a week, if that. Funkley is the smallest town in Minnesota, with a population of 5. Now, that is small.

OMG, I am loving that Kate Walsh is Mrs. Hess! Love her! Perfect for this role!

Spoiler: I would so kill Pearl. Is she next to die? Oh, yes, I guess so! Wow!

I love the guy who plays Lester. He plays it well. Great acting.

The small part of this episode the showed Duluth, Minnesota really was the real city. Can't wait to see more of it in the coming episodes. And Colin Hanks is in it! More of him! Love him!

All in all, I enjoyed the show, and can't wait for the next episode.
