KURU Footwear #Holiday2022

Fashion is always a win for holiday gifts. And shoes are not exception! KURU Footwear is a 13-year-old DTC shoe company with one mission: resolving foot pain. Every shoe they build contains a patented KURUSOLE which is engineered to eliminate foot pain for customers. With a shoe for every occasion, KURU makes it convenient to recover and heal without slowing down.
I suffer from Plantars Fasciitis, so for me, I got a pair of The Draft - The Draft is the quickest way to slip your feet into the luxurious comfort of KURU. Choose mesh, knitted, nylon, or fleece uppers to get your perfect balance between warmth and breathability. Plus, the backless design makes it a breeze to slip on and off. Best of all, the Draft is more than a house slipper. The full-length rubber outsole combined with the proven support of KURUSOLE inside gives you more versatility and step-after-step comfort so you can get away to the coffee shop or have a drink with friends by the backyard fire pit.
Jason got a pair of The Roam - When KURU developed Roam, they started with a casual sneaker style and paired it with the proven comfort of KURU. Designed to dress up or down effortlessly, Roam can be worn doing more things in more places: from work, to weddings, to wandering around town. They took this 40+ year old timeless classic to the next level. Unlike other court sneakers, the Roam is designed to help make your feet healthier: even if you’re dealing with foot pain. Imagine a tennis shoe reinvented for the 21st Century, harnessing the smartest insights from science and biomechanics. The dynamic duo of the KURUSOLE and KURUCLOUD means the Roam dynamically flexes to cup your heels with every step. When in Roam, you’ll also find the latest materials for world-class comfort and superior sustainability. Outfit yourself in breathable cotton canvas, or eco-friendly leather with a butter-soft texture that recycles excess pieces otherwise meant for a landfill. Enhancing a timeless style with cutting-edge innovation makes Roam more than a shoe - it’s a KURU.

Kuru Footwear #Holiday2020

Based in beautiful Salt Lake City, Utah, Kuru Footwear is independently owned and web-driven. Their founder wanted to start a shoe company in 5th grade. What started as a child’s dream became reality when he launched Kuru during the Great Recession of 2008. His dream was so powerful it led to the invention of KuruSole. Since then, thousands have experienced the superior support, style, and pain-free comfort of Kuru. The relentless focus on innovation reflects a commitment to endless comfort for a pain-free life. Which is why they design and develop footwear that outperforms at the highest levels. With nature on their side, some science, and a bit of magic; Kuru is obsessed with raising the bar. Something good enough to chase your dreams is more than a shoe—it's a Kuru.
You’ll be glad to know, the sporty Lucy Mary Jane is more than a pretty face. Constructed with a soft KuruCloud Eva midsole and a breathable mesh toe-box, this playful shoe feels breezy-cool all day. With an added leather heel for a more secure fit. While a full rubber outsole offers both stability and style. To make sure you get a perfect fit, the Lucy includes a simple, smooth elastic band across your instep. This band holds your foot exactly in place as you stroll from work to playdate to brunch. If there ever was an easy-to-wear Mary Jane for the girl on the go, the Lucy is it. A Mary Jane that features the legendary support of KuruSole is more than a shoe - it's a Kuru. This is probably one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I can be on my feet all day in these and not get sore feet. And I can wear socks with them, or go sockless. Either way, and I am comfy! I love these!

Viakix Acadia Sandal

The spark behind Viakix was ignited by the founder's search for attractive outdoor footwear that was affordable for most consumers. The goal continues to this day to develop America's most fashionable outdoor footwear. As a small family owned company, Viakix take pride in the design, manufacturing, and care that goes into each and every shoe and sandal that they sell.
I hardly ever really wear sandals because I have Plantars so bad, but someone recommended Viakix to me, so I thought it was worth a shot to try them. I was able to try the Acadia sandal. Bring style on the trails with a versatile pair of athletic hiking sandals. The Acadia performance women's sandal is the latest addition to the Viakix outdoor sandals line.
The Acadia excels at a wide range of activities from hiking to walking to water sports. With 5 adjustable straps, you will get the perfect, customized fit every time. The ergonomic outsole - fully equipped with a shank stabilizer - is durable and provides excellent traction for the more adventurous person. This outdoor hiking sandal has a thick comfortable EVA foam midsole, providing more cushioning and less stress on the joints. These are very comfortable. And while I have not actually hiked in them yet, I have worked a full 10 hour shift on my feet in them, and not been sore and hurting when I come home from work, so that is a huge win for me. The snow is going to fly here soon in the Northwoods, but these babies will be tucked safely away for our adventures next spring, and I can't wait!

Check it all out at Viakix on Facebook, as well as Viakix on Twitter, and Viakix on Instagram.
