Driftwood Designs #Spring2025

I have been fascinated with the moon this past year and now coming in to the New Year. I have taken photos of the moon so many times, my camera roll is filling up. But now I can have the moon memorialized on a print to keep! The Moons Collection from Driftwood Designs has always been popular and this year it will be better than ever with a brand new North America Full Moons design. The lunar cycle is hugely significant for many aspects of life on Earth. For example, according to National Geographic, many corals, bristle worms, sea urchins, mollusks, fish, and crabs spawn around the full moon, probably due to the increased light. The full moon also affects the migration of birds and is essential for their navigation. In humans, it affects things such as sleep and fertility. Of course, many people watch the cycles of the moon, simply because it is so beautiful. Driftwood Designs and its customers have been ahead of the curve for some time, with Driftwood’s annual illustrated Full Moons range stunningly depicting each full North American moon over the course of the year, allowing people to keep track of the cycles, live in harmony with its influence and be aware of names attributed to each full moon. The illustrations show the full moons and the names they have been given by ancient cultures, including the Ojibwe Tribe, Algonquin Tribe, Tlingit Tribe, Abenaki, and Arapaho tribes along with Celtic, and Anglo-Saxon, Neopagan, and Medieval English. Examples include the stay-at-home moon, mountain shadows moon, and moon of falling leaves. The paintings for each month and each full moon, like the Moon names, beautifully capture the changing of the seasons and the passing of the year.
