Around the holidays of Mother's Day and Father's Day, it tends to be a little harder on myself and Jason (and any parent I would assume) since we have lost a child. This year marks a big year - the 10th year. They say as time goes on it gets easier. But this year for some reason, it is a hard one. A big one. A tough one. I have sort of retreated into myself, which I know is not a good thing. But small things bring me out. Like the beautiful wonderful gift we got from PopArtYou. A cheeky gift of a portrait of our family, whole again.

We had a Regal Portrait done. And, I mean.... We are royalty, so why not, right? *wink* Regal Portraits are a new hit source for modern commissioned art. Retro and vintage art are the songs of the summer, but these artworks go even further, and imitate the style of ancient paintings. What are Regal Portraits? Regal Portraits are personalized paintings in the style of royal families’ portraits. The idea is to imitate artworks you would normally see in museums. Through the website, you can commission a similar painting, created from your photos. As a result, regal photo portraits look like a real drawing or painting of a royal family. The rules for creating such artwork are pretty simple. You just have to take good photos of your family members. The costumes and the entourage are pre-prepared.

I am in love. The quality of the canvas is superb, and we all look so good. It is great work, and I just love it. I adore it so much. Jason hung it in our hall, and I just smile every time I walk by it!
