The Feminist Shop For #Holiday2020

The Feminist Shop is an online community and shop for ethically produced feminist goods, and wearable activism. Full of content, resources, associations, and more to boost your feminism. They have a new autumn-inspired collection from the winner of their lockdown competition, Elena Lersch, called "F". The Feminist Shop's F Collection is filled with earthy colors celebrating the famous quote "my favorite season is the fall of patriarchy". This collection is aligned with the AWN Network, an association that provides community, support, and resources for Autistic women, girls, nonbinary people, and all others of marginalized genders. There is no need to say that we are working hard to see the fall of patriarchy! (For those who do not know - Patriarchy is a social system in which men hold the primary power and predominate in roles of political leadership, moral authority, social privilege, and control of property.) The old structures will fall leaving space for the new ones, just like leaves from trees. One leaf at a time, one conversation at a time!

I scored a cool tee from the new F Collection, and I love it because #1, I am a Feminist. Maybe not as loud and proud as I should be. For a long time I did follow the belief that a woman's role was....well a traditional woman's role and man's role was a traditional man's role. Men jobs and women jobs etc. Until I met a man who helped me strive for better things, who made me want to be better, and do better, and want more for myself....yes, ladies, a man opened my eyes to feminism. (See below.) And the #2 reason I love the tee design is because I am a Fall baby, and the design is cool and it speaks to me in the autumnal sense.

One of the most important pieces to the puzzle of Feminim is men - We can’t have feminism without men being on board. And we wouldn’t even if we could. Feminism is not a war between genders, we want equal opportunities and rights for all.
