Pyrex Celebrating 100 Years

The Pyrex brand recently celebrated their 100th Anniversary in their hometown of Charleroi, PA. World Kitchen and the Pyrex brand, along with Pennsylvania State Senator Camera Bartolotta, Pennsylvania State Representative Peter J. Daley, and Charleroi Mayor Mark Alterici, were on-site to officially rename the town Pyrex, PA, for 100 days in front of hundreds of Charleroi residents. The celebration also included a pancake breakfast (served by World Kitchen CEO Carl Warschausky and Mike Scheffki, Brand Lead for Pyrex), a special dedication ceremony for former and current Charleroi plant employees, a retiree bake-off competition, photo opportunities with the World’s Largest Measuring Cup and more!
The celebration was the official kickoff of the Pyrex 100th Anniversary Mobile Tour. The tour will travel across the country this summer featuring the World’s Largest Measuring Cup, interactive games, photo booth, giveaways, and historic Pyrex pieces spanning their 100 year history. Summer tour stops include such notable events such as:

·The Indy 500 – Indianapolis, IN 5/22-24
·CMA Music Festival – Nashville, TN 6/11-14
·Corning Museum of Glass – Corning, NY 6/20
·Macy’s Herald Square – New York City, NY 6/24
·Wawa Welcome America Festival – Philadelphia, PA 7/4
I received a limited edition 100 Year Pyrex Pie Plate. For a limited time time only, the 100 Year Easy Grab 9.5" Pie Plate with the 100 Year Engraving will be available. Perfect for pies, quiches, and more. Its fluted rim means you can make a crimped-edge pie crust with ease. Whether it’s a no-bake recipe, one that requires baking, or a freezer pie, you’re set. Plus, you can pop the pie plate in the dishwasher when you’re done.
Check it all out at Pyrex on Facebook, and World Kitchen on Twitter.
