Belated Dyngus Day Drinks With Sobieski

Have you been looking for the perfect excuse to finally let that special someone know that you’ve been admiring them for years? April 21st was Dyngus Day! Traditionally, this was a day when the boys would tell the cutest girls in their village that they liked them by throwing water in their faces and tapping them on their legs with pussy willow branches. Don’t worry ladies; you could get your revenge on the boys the next day by throwing plates at them – what could possibly be more romantic? Or weird? These days the festivities that happen in Buffalo, New York involve lots of vodka, merriment, and squirt gun wars, but you just never know when your true love could be waiting around the corner, about to throw a plate at you. Hee hee. I may be a few days late with these recipes, but they are good anytime, not just on Dyngus Day!
 The Secret Crush Martini
3 oz. Sobieski Cytron Vodka
½ oz. fresh squeezed lemon juice
3-4 fresh crushed basil leaves
1 cup ice

Place crushed basil leaves, lemon juice, and Sobieski Cytron Vodka in a shaker, add ice and shake together for 10 seconds. Serve chilled in a cocktail glass.
Sobieski Polish Princess
1 ¼ oz. Sobieski Vodka
½ oz. Sobieski Toasted Coconut Vodka
2 oz. pineapple juice
Splash cranberry juice

Pour ingredients into a shaker with ice. Strain into a tall glass, add splash of cranberry juice and serve.
Bison Bite
2 oz. Sobieski Bizon Grass Vodka
2 oz. apple juice

Serve in tall glass with a lime slice garnish.

Let me know if you try any of these! Enjoy!
