Life is full of ups and downs and can often feel like a roller coaster. It can be boring and mundane for quite a long period of time, with occasional exhilarating moments that give great happiness and peace. During the down times, it is easy to become discouraged. Life’s Struggles
Just the other day someone posted on Facebook, “When it rains, it pours!” It seems that life can easily become overwhelming, especially when tragedies seem to hit all at the same time. For example, the washer can break down during the same week as a natural disaster or a death in the family. Other people experience a job loss at the same time that their car breaks down. Life’s struggles can be challenging for people, and it is easy to see why people become depressed or discouraged. The number of people being diagnosed with depression has been steadily rising over the past few decades. Perhaps this is because more people are being diagnosed than ever, or it could be because the stresses of life have become worse for a lot more people. Due to the recession of 2008, the economic conditions became nearly as bleak as those of the Great Depression. Families all over the United States have struggled to put food on the table, much less to pay their creditors or save money for a rainy day. That rainy day has hit, and it has hit hard.

Stress and Crises
Stress is a natural part of life that people must learn how to deal with in a positive way. Crises happen in life, and suffering emotionally can be damaging to careers, to relationships, and to many other aspects of life. It is important to learn how to correctly deal with struggles.
