RAIN ANNOUNCES NEW INDIE GAME RELEASES

Rain Digital Games, an online portal for independent video game content, today announced three new titles available this week including Ludwig, Tiny Troopers and Kalypso Media's highly anticipated action-platformer Alien Spidy. Visit www.RainDG.com to check out more about these and other great indie titles.

WEEKLY GAME LAUNCHES
Alien Spidy ($9.99) from Kalypso Media and developed by Enigma Software, is a single-player action-platformer that delves deep into the world of a technologically advanced alien spider whose space ship crashes on earth while searching for his lost friend Virgi. Alone on the alien planet, the hero, “Spidy”, sets out to find his friend, but also needs to collect the lost parts of his crashed space ship. Spidy must overcome the many obstacles he encounters by using clever web-swinging mechanics as he explores wildly interactive and colorful environments brought to life with beautifully smooth animations.

Developed by Ovus, Ludwig ($14.99) is a new type of renewable energy learning game for adventurers 11 years and up. Join Ludwig on an exciting journey through the world of physics. Find out how energy is created from fire, water, wind and sun and use them cleverly to protect the Robotronics on Unitron against the impending energy collapse. Become immersed in the huge game world and learn all about renewable energy and its secrets. Explore the area where the spaceship crashed or an enormous dam, travel by balloon through the snow and ice or cross an almost endless desert. There is so much to discover! Ludwig was developed in cooperation with physics specialists, teachers and pupils and is based on the physics curriculum of the 5th to 8th grades making it ideal for in-class instructional use.

Developed by Kukouri and published by Iceberg Interactive, Tiny Troopers ($9.99) puts players in command of a team of small soldiers. Guide them through 30 deadly missions with varied objectives: destroy enemy armored formations, save hostages and eliminate enemy generals. The troopers will face enemy infantry, snipers, technicals and even tanks. Casualty rate is going to be high but there is an endless supply of fresh recruits to step up and fill the ranks. Those lucky troopers who survive from mission to mission will be promoted and each new stripe they gain makes them tougher. War might be hell but this is the funniest way to fight in one!
