Energy savings

One thing that I am really particular about in my home is being eco friendly and energy efficient. We try to recycle everything that we possibly can if that means reusing some things that we would have previously thrown away, great. It can also mean spending a little bit more to pay to have our recycling bin picked up more than once a week because we are so careful to recycle everything. The other thing I am very passionate about is saving energy. There are many things that I have done around the house to make sure that we are not wasting energy. When I first started noticing how much energy we wasted as a family I was shocked. I created a game for my kids so that they could learn how to help save energy and it helped them earn some rewards in the process. One major thing is having them turn off the lights when they leave a room. I am not sure that Alberta Energy Providers likes it because they are the ones who send us our bill but we think we are doing our little part to help save the planet.
