In gratitude for your spouse’s brave service to our country, our government and nation has instituted beneficial programs to help you achieve your goals and dreams.

Here is a look at just one of the great benefits available: education benefits.

One of the greatest benefits available to military members and their spouses is education benefits. From the Post 9/11 GI Bill to the Yellow Ribbon Program, there are a lot of different options to look at. One of the greatest education benefit programs for military spouses is the Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts (MyCAA). MyCAA, also known as spouse tuition assistance. It provides up to $4000 of financial assistance to military spouses who are pursuing associate degree programs, licenses or credentials in an effort to be employed in portable career fields. Who is eligible? Spouses of active duty service members in pay grades E1-E5, W1-W2, and O1-O2 are eligible, as well as the spouses of activated Guard and Reserve members within those ranks. Getting the assistance offered by the military to attend school is a great way to enter into growing fields like medical billing and coding programs, a prestigious law school in Boston or any other rapidly expanding field you want!

In addition to MyCAA, there are also many different scholarships intended solely for military spouses. The scholarships aim to provide spouses with a free education. If you do a simple Google search of military spouse scholarships, you will find a large volume of results for this particular financial assistance option. From private organization scholarships to branch-specific scholarships, be sure to do your research and find the best option for you and your needs.

Once you have figured out how to utilize your benefits for school take a look at these military friendly colleges to help you take the next step. There are a lot of different schools that cater specifically to the needs of military spouses. They will work with your special financial assistance, and are very skilled at making it a swift process. These schools are also great because most are distance learning universities so you can earn your degree at any time and from anywhere!
