"Pocketdoodles for Artists inspires creativity by helping readers make their own comic strips, build skyscrapers, invent new machines, design delicious new recipes, and draw their very own masterpieces. The sky's the limit!"
"Your Life in Comics: What’s more fun for guys than reading comics? Making their own. Your Life in Comics lets boys ages 9–13 do just that. Inspired by the Free Spirit favorite 100 Things Guys Need to Know, this do-it-yourself comic book features cartooning exercises and prompts that get boys thinking about important subjects in their lives, including family, friends, school, health, and the future. Rather than provide the story, the book allows guys to decide what happens by creating words and drawings of their own. Some of the interactive exercises feature completed comic strip panels where boys imagine and write the dialog. Others let guys draw comic strips of their own. Freestyle activities let kids personalize the book and explore who they are."

My Thoughts:
These books are way too cool, and I want some for my own. But alas, they are for the kids. These doodle books are great for bringing out the creativity in anyone, and a good pastime. The Pocketdoodles is way cool with pictures to prompt you to draw something. Like heads of people, and the description is: Give these people a hat to wear. Or a fortune cookie, and you have to write your own fortune. Pretty cool. But I especially like the Your Life In Comics. It is like a journal you can draw in. Like, draw an embarrassing moment. Or a graffiti wall for you to graffiti. The book is for guys, I think they need one for girls. Or mamas! Ha! Very cool books! Great ideas for gifts for your sons, nephews, etc.
I received products from Harding PR in exchange for a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This is way cool! I think I'm going to get this for Connor! :) Way cool!
ReplyDeleteFrom now on I am buying these as gifts for my 8 year old son to give at birthdays! Often times kids cant come up with ideas of their own, but this helps spur their creativity. AND with the popular reding books right now written in comic form, they will really get into this. Thanks for the info! Now following you from the blog hop.
