The Monster On Top Of The Bed

The Monster On Top Of The Bed by Alan H. Jordan

Author's Description:
I wrote, and Manuela illustrated, The Monster on Top of the Bed to Help Children . . .
. . . 1. Get a good night’s sleep (and help their parents, get a good night’s sleep too.)
. . . 2 Have Fun
. . . 3. Make friends more easily;
. . . 4. Understand that friendship conquers fear!
. . . 5. Discover the joy of learning

To my knowledge there is no other book (and additional resources) like The Monster on Top of the Bed anywhere in the world. Really. Where else can you get a book that you can:
* listen to in five or six different ways
* an accompanying e-book, a book that has the artwork, but no words so children can write their own stories
* a series of .mp3 files in three different languages by six performers who reside in three continents
* a multi-media e-book that plays the story and reads it in another language (free after purchase of two or more books
* an iPod (and some an iPad) e-book
* a series of e-mails that parents, grandparents and teachers can use to help their children read the book
* and more!

My Thoughts:
We loved this book, and the accompanying CD. Callan had me read it to him two nights in a row, and then on the third day we tried it in Spanish, which is a language that I know very little of, but think it is important for my children to learn in this day and age. The graphics are great, the story helpful, fun, and a lesson to be learned. This is a book that Callan will enjoy for years to come, and be able to pass down to Little Brother.

Check out the website and order the book in many different formats HERE.
