A Writer's Tip From Judith Marshall *GuestBlogger*

For all you authors or would-be authors out there. When you're feeling totally blocked or just not very creative, one of the exercises that I find effective is to thumb through a magazine, tear out a photograph, study it, and then make up a story about it. Write continuously for at least three, preferably five minutes. Set a timer if you have to. Don't pay attention to punctuation or proper grammar, and don't let your inner critic have a voice. Just let your imagination run wild. You'll be surprised at how freeing it can be.
