Swap-Bot 5 Blog Questions Part Two

This is Part Duex of a swap on SwapBot. Part One can be found HERE if you are interested. The following questions are from Faiza. Here we go:

1. You have over 100 books yet to read and love books. What is your favorite book and why?
Oh. no. Nope. Can't just pick one. Nope. Ha! I love Janet Evonovich's Stephanie Plum series. I like the House of Night series by P.C. Cast. Of course the Twilight books. I also like Debbie MaComber and Nora Roberts. Claire Cooks, Nicholas Sparks, Jodi Picoult, Karen Kingsbury, Lorna Landvik. Ok, the list goes on and on you see. That is why I have so many books to read! Currently I am reading The Crowning Glory of Calla Lily Ponder by Rebecca Wells.

2. As an Army Wife and Mother, what would you want people who don't know much about army life to understand about your experiences so far?
It is not easy. But you adjust. Your spouse is gone a lot, be it training, deployment, field time, etc. You get to know who you are as an individual really fast. And you really learn the meaning "Absence makes the heart grow fonder."

3. You collect postage stamps and postcards from all over the world. Can you share some of your favourites with us?
Germany and England postcards and postage hold special meaning to me, since that is my heritage. I also really enjoy Asian stamps and post cards. I have some really cool things from Hong Kong and Tokyo.

4. While writing a book about your family history and ancestry, what discoveries have you made?
A ton! My Third Great Grandfather served in the Civil War and was a Prisoner of War. I always knew I came from a long line of military personnel, but to find actual facts and stories about it was really cool. I also have a family member who was involved in the Salem Witch Trials and was hung. Amazing the things I have found out.

5. You never go anywhere without your camera. Show us your favorite picture that you have taken and tell us why it's your favorite.
Oh gosh. I have LOTS of favorite pics....just like books, can't pick just one. But here is a recent one I have taken that I love. It was taken on Dunbar Lake in Blackduck, Minnesota in the late morning. The steam rising off the lake. Very cool.
