Starring Golden Globe Award-winner and Academy Award-nominee Angela Bassett and nine-time Grammy-winner Mary J. Blige, this Lifetime Original Movie tells the story of Coretta Scott King and Betty Shabazz, wives of Martin Luther Jing Jr. and Malcolm X respectively.
Originally aired in February for Black History Month, Betty and Coretta will arrive on DVD on June 11th. The film celebrates the strength and dignity of the two women after their husbands’ assassinations and highlights their unique friendship. Carrying on the civil rights movement and supporting their families as single mothers, Betty and Coretta became role models for millions of women with their unending dedication and passion.
