Ok, so I could not wait anymore! 25 minutes until it is officially my birthday, but eh! Happy Birthday to me! And this also is Day One of Blogtoberfest for me. I am so excited about this. I hope to meet lots of new people doing this. Maybe some of them can help me come up with good ideas for my Bloggy Birthday Bash. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I am still whining about that. I will come up with things on my own if I must, heh! But I just want it to go really well and y'all to have a good time during it and participate! Ok, well short and sweet...I must go get my beauty sleep for my fab birthday tomorrow. Yay me!

I got this card in the mail today from my grandparents for my birthday tomorrow. I did not even know it at first, but this is a recycled birthday card! My gosh, what a cool idea! I would of never thought of this. An old used birthday card. Cut out the art and words, and put on card stock. Ta-da! New card! This is so awesome, and awfully savvy of my Grandma! I'm going to have to start doing this! Love this idea!
Day 20 of my 30 Day Challenge is - Who is someone you see yourself marrying or being with in the future? Well, I am married, and we've been together since we were kids, and even if, God forbid, we got a divorce or something happened to him, I would never marry another. Jason is my best friend, my soul mate, and the love of my life. I fall in love with him more and more every single day. There will never be another for me. God made us for one another, and that is just how it is.
I got some quite time today to get some stuff done I wanted to do. For me, that is huge. I don't know what is better than that! :) Also, the weather was awesome. In fact, I was hot! Hot in, well, practically October? Unheard of here in Minnesota. Just an all around good lazy day. Happiness and goodness!
When I received the book Illegals: The Unacceptable Cost of America's Failure to Control its Borders by Darrell Ankarlo I thought it might be just full of information and facts, and well, a bit boring. But I was pleasantly surprised. It was not at all boring and I could not put it down. In fact, I plan to read it again, and again. It is full of stories about illegal immigration, border crossings, crimes. There is a personal eye-opening touch to the book. Ankarlo went and lived the actual life that people along the border live. I think every politician in the United States of America needs to go and live life in border towns (on both the US and Mexican side) for one month, and then maybe they will know what they are talking about. I think this book should be required reading to all high school students. In fact, I think this book should be required reading for every American.
Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from Thomas Nelson Publishers as part of their BookSneeze.com book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review.
