About The Book:

In Caroline Bock's Before My Eyes, Claire has spent the last few months taking care of her six-year-old sister, Izzy, as their mother lies in a hospital bed. Lonely and obsessive, Barkley has been hearing a voice in his head. Narrated in turns by Claire, Max, and Barkley, Before My Eyes captures a moment when possibilities should be opening up, but instead everything teeters on the brink of destruction.

My Thoughts:

This is a great read. I like how you get the story from all sides by having chapters from each characters narrative. It was a quick read, and I plan to read more by this author! It was great!

About The Author:

Caroline Bock is a novelist, screenwriter and poet. Her second young adult novel, Before My Eyes, is being called: "Gripping" by Publishers Weekly and Kirkus Reviews and an "Unflinching thriller...thought-provoking" from Bookpages. Bock is a graduate with honors from Syracuse University where she studied creative writing with Raymond Carver, and she is a 2011 MFA in Fiction graduate from The City College of New York. Prior to focusing on her writing career, she led the marketing and public relations departments at Bravo and IFC cable networks as well as IFC Films. She recently moved to Maryland from New York with her husband, two children and her 22 pound cat, Shelton.
