Honored To Serve

Honored To Serve by Lt. Col. Tony Monetti

About The Book:
From dropping bombs in combat to dropping off mail at the post office, former B-2 pilot Lt. Col. Tony Monetti and his wife, Penny, know how to balance everyday life with military service. In their new book, Honored to Serve, the Monettis offer words of encouragement through personal stories, a sense of humor, and biblical truths. Readers will find tools to help them deal with transition issues such as post-traumatic stress disorder, financial hardships, wounded relationships, and more. Written from the perspectives of both a military service person and a spouse, this insightful book not only offers encouragement to military families, but also includes suggestions on how others can provide support through church and community programs. The Monettis first book, Called to Serve, came out in 2010.

My Thoughts:
I wish I had this book when Jason came back from Iraq. His transition back into "normal" everyday life was not easy, and neither was mine, having him home after being on my own for a year. This is a great read. You can get another couples perspective, and laugh and get great advice. Makes me revel in my pride as a veterans wife.

About The Authors:
Lieutenant Colonel Tony Monetti (USAF Ret.), distinguished flying cross recipient, and B-2 Stealth Bomber pilot is a combat veteran command pilot who has written numerous articles for military publications. Penny Monetti is the author of Choose to Dance and speaks nationwide, presenting family-strengthening workshops. With twenty-three years of accrued experience, the Monettis and their three children know military life.
