Mother Shapes - Challenge Day

There is this site called The Shape Of A Mother. I only came across it when I saw someone's blog post about it, and they had nothing but negative things to say about it. But after looking at the site for awhile, I thought, "I want to share my story." And though I only posted a little snippet of my story, it still felt good to share. There is a variety of post on there, all with different opinions on things. Women proud of their bodies, women who hate their bodies, pro this and anti that. But I still think it can be a good site for women. There are some amazing pics on there of brave women who have shared what their post-preggo bodies look like. (If you go on there, beware, some pics can be graphic and nude.) It was a site that helped me to come to terms with my body and to be content with it. Here is my post - minus my pics.

I struggled for 5 years to get pregnant in the first place. After two surgeries and 3 rounds of fertility treatments (all the while dealing with my husband’s deployment to Iraq), we got pregnant with our first born. The pregnancy was easy, the birth hard. But we had our miracle. Then miraculously we got blessed with another child one year later. Hard pregnancy, easy birth, but some post-partum issues. Now, we are all healthy, and though I may not be much to look at anymore, my kids love me, and so does my hubby. For that, I am beyond happy!

Your Age: 31
Number of pregnancies and births: 2 pregnancies and 2 births.
The age of your children, or how far postpartum you are: 2 and 1 (15 months post-partum). - (Now, I am 18-months post-partum)
